Strong, but not that strong.
As mentioned in a previous post, K has some pretty crazy head strength. It is pretty cool to see him keep his head up and turn it to towards a person who is talking. However, when he finally runs out of strength his head immediately flops and hits the chest of the person who is holding him. Hard. The first time he did it to me I was shocked and thought he had hurt himself. Oh no, nothing deters this boy. He just keeps on doing it over and over again resulting in him continuously hitting his head. He also will decide that he wants to no longer be held upright and thrust his body from a vertical to horizontal position. If you aren’t holding him close and tight he flops everywhere. It is one constant rise, fall, rest, repeat. It is so dangerous! I’m somewhat hesitant to let people hold him as I don’t want him to be dropped. If you think you can restrain him he just jerks his head back and forth until he wiggles out of your grasp.
On Sunday while we were at church he kept doing his ’stunts’ during the sermon. The people next to me were watching with disbelief (and horror) and I’m sure everyone else just thought I wasn’t holding him tight enough. Or perhaps they thought he was moved by the sermon.
And K already thinks he is stronger than he really is….typical boy.

My boy did the same thing–he still does it at 20 months! Just hold on tight–those little ones are STRONG
